Circles of Rain

Next doll painting in progress. This is my doll from a travelling doll project a few years ago with three other doll makers. I made the body. The felted face was by one of the other artists. I love her face. She is hugging a bear I was given by a colleague when I left work.

Doll painting number two. This is a needle felted doll I bought from my friend Linda Sue. I love her cheery flower goddess feel.

Cassie being ultra cute!

Trying polystyrene printing.

I have this idea that I am going to draw or paint all of my dolls. This one belonged to my partner’s Mum and so it is with sadness that we now have her. She is sat in front of a hand mirror and a large mirror which made the drawing harder but more interesting to do.

Thing I bought in the charity shop for £1.50 today, which looks like a tea strainer for a giant, but which I think is a steamer. It makes a great lantern and even has a handy chain to hang it up by.

Prints from today’s workshop. They used polystyrene sheets and pencils and kept pressing until the skull popped out so they could make two colour prints. Fun!
